| An Euphoric Visit to Prerna |
So herewith I’m coming with
updates for year 2014…….as we know main motto of our “KARNAMANI MITRA MANDAL”
is religious and social work…..In Paryushan parva , we does the religious work , but we also
keep in mind our second and one of the important motto “social work” ….As you
know last year we did this in the form of distribution of “Kambals” to poor people
and road-siders…..so this year we are also coming with one such similar type of
social welfare work…….
We
first think for various alternatives such as visit to an orphanage or to spend
time with old people who are alone………but as we know, these days many
organizations are doing these type of social work, we try to do something
different as always….finally we decide that we should go to a school for mentally disable
children…a part of our society, but no one is ready to look at them or have some
time for them…..
Now the major task was where to go
and when and main concern was that whether this type of school will allow us or
not…..after trying at various schools we finally decided to go to “PRERNA”
school located in Mirzapur in front of St. Xaviers school, suggested by Parshva….this organization is
looking after many disable children since long…..so Niket and Parshva went
there to decide whether they will allow or not and what is the no. of students
they are taking care etc. Principal of
the school, Mr. Ravat was very co-operative in nature and he was very glad to
hear our plan and he readily gave us permission that we can come on weekends
and we decided to go there on 9th March, Saturday during 3 to 5...they
were looking after around 30 such children…It was surprising to us and we were
amazed with the way they dealt with these students and try to make them
self-responsible…
So
we started the planning of food-items that we’ll take there and lots of meetings were happened, think for
various activities by which we can give those children pleasure….we decide to
have games like musical-chair , ball in
doll(one minute game) , running competition etc. . Each and every member of the group was
excited with this plan and preparations started..each and everyone was
allocated specific task….Harshit , Viral and Nishant were given the task of
bringing the food –items…Meet took the responsibility for finding good gifts..Samkit
look after the clerical work and many miscellaneous tasks were given to other
members also…..
After games , the winners were given prizes….they were very glad to see
such prizes…

Then we decided to have some entertainment …For that we started
singing songs on demand of those children , which was not a usual practice for
us , but they were very pleased to listen these songs and started dancing , we
also joined them in that and it was a wonderful scene….Dhruvil , Niket ,
Abhinav ,Hiren,Dhanik, and Divy were like totally child….they were completely
lost…at the same time other members Rushil,Vicky,Jay, Nishant , Harshit ,Preet,
Ronak and Kaushil were making sandwiches…..and we distribute sandwiches and cold-drink among students…

finally we gave a small gift to each and every child, just another way to to make them happy and also congratulate the staff members and principal for doing such a noble
work….finally when we were about to leave they ask us to come very frequently
and also appreciate our mandal for doing such activities.. We thank them by giving them a special Thanks Card. designed by Samkit Shah
